THE KENEZIAN CREED

International Worship of the Almighty Creator by All Rational Human Beings

1.I am old enough to know my natural father and mother besides recognising the biological roles they played in my physical manifestation on this plane of existence. They were definitely instrumental in my earliest survival and reared me as best as they could. Now; I am I, you are you, we are us; therefore I affirm that I exist!

2.I am aware that I had a beginning as a living corporeal being and will naturally come to an end as other animate beings I have observed do come to a definitive end. I need food, water, air and sleep to survive as an individual entity and love, education and social interactions to grow, develop and mature properly in a human community, therefore I accept that all finite beings like myself are governed by certain Natural Laws.

3.The macrocosms that I observe; the sun, the moon, mountains, canyons, rivers, oceans, and seas obey these natural laws daily as well as whales, elephants, rhinoceros, hippopotamuses, giraffes, ostriches, and other huge reptiles. These laws existed before our arrival here, are enforced all the time and will continue after our individual deaths; therefore I am convinced that they are Eternal as well as Supernatural.

4.Every law has a lawgiver, so these natural, eternal and supernatural laws must equally have a Natural, an Eternal and a Supernatural Lawgiver or givers. If the latter, there must be a hierarchy and at the apex of these lawgivers must be one Supreme overseer that is the ultimate law itself and therefore I refer to it as the Ultimate Lawgiver whom all else must obey at all times. To IT/HIM/HER I owe my existence, my breath, my blood, my food and my life. IT/HE/SHE is my Greatest Being that must be obeyed and worshipped!

5. I have equally observed actions and reactions; motions produced by winds, time and space interactions and those immanent motions that are inherited by all living entities. They obey definite laws of gravity, temperature, time and space. Therefore I concede that these laws exact commensurate punishment for any and every violation of their dictates. Some punishments are immediate while some are delayed but definitely actions and reactions as I have realised are equal and opposite in nature. This Supernatural and Eternal Lawgiver rewards for obedience to these laws and so must be the Ultimate Cause of these motions for the daily enforcement of His Natural and Eternal Laws to ensure eternal harmony in the universe.

6. The force of gravity, the energy of light, the speed of sound, the velocity of wind, and the devastating fury of all the relentless elements in creation; thunders, fires, floods, storms, volcanoes, earthquakes and cyclones exhibit the magnitude and the energy of the One who initiates, maintains and controls them. The limitlessness of time, space, sound, light and darkness force me to concede that this Eternal Lawgiver is not only Infinite and Expansive but also All Powerful!

7. When I study the skies at night or the seasons and climates, the vegetation and the desert, the lagoons and the islands, the hills and the valleys, and most especially the beauty of sunrise and sunset, I marvel at the precision, regularity and complementary nature of these phenomena and therefore fully appreciate that whoever put them there, cares and caters for them on an hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly bases and must therefore be a Benevolent Custodian, and an Accurate Time Keeper!

8. Positivity and Negativity exist in all forms of life; microcosms, macrocosms, material and non-material beings thereby producing some real currents, emotions and instincts that are equally subservient to these ever-present natural and eternal laws. These make life worth living, for they constitute the basic motivations for the survival needs of every genus and species of life on planet earth, and so all pro-creative activities obey these Natural and Eternal Laws!

9. When I observe living beings; their beauty and ugliness, their variety and numbers, their shapes, sizes, modes of feeding, defending and surviving in hostile environments and most especially their innate abilities at reproducing themselves, sexually and/or asexually, I declare that this Eternal Lawgiver is All Creative, All Beautiful, and an Impartial Judge! I am fully convinced IT/HE/SHE created all the finite beings around me. Therefore, permit me to call IT/HE/SHE our commonwealth Supernatural and Eternal Creator/Father/Mother!

10. Among the living things that move about on their own, I do observe that we all have the same basic structure, protoplasm and energy source. We equally possess identical feelings, functions and comparable life spans! We all need to prostrate and worship this All Knowing, All Powerful, and Infinite Energy Source that sustains all beings in the entire universe!

And because there are no accidents in Nature when all His Natural Laws are respected and obeyed, I attest to this creed most solemnly and voluntarily:

Postscript:
My respect, obedience and loyalty belongs to this Almighty Eternal Being as I extend my hands of love and co-operation to all other beings that I meet during my short span of life on this planet, since I now recognise them as my brothers, sisters and co-heirs of this Our Eternal Lawgiver, Father and Mother who created us all!

Shortly following the death of his beloved father, Sir Daniel M. Paul Mbaezue, a 4th Grade Papal Knight of Columbus , Texas, USA in 1998, the animator went into mourning for a year. There is nothing theological about an accumulation of guesswork done by primitive men! THE ORIGINS OF KENEZ PSYCHOLOGICAL RESEARCH FOUNDATION

Abbreviated; KPRF is the engine room of the parent organization

Kenez International Humanitarian Organizations Linkage; KIHOL, was conceptualised as an answer to the dearth of indigenous psychological tests in the African continent. It is the brainchild of an ambitious undergraduate on the end of session vacation job in 1973/74 at the government-owned Neuro-psychiatric Hospital, Aba. During his leisure hours at the hospital, he read a scientific review of “Self Assessment of I. Q” in the Reader’s Digest, a popular magazine he found in the OPD Waiting Room. He was familiar with the British publication since his higher school years, 1966-1967, at Christ the King College, Onitsha. He had from then adopted it as a suitable academic companion. The fascinating puzzle evaluated his scores and placed him within the range of 120 plus or minus15.

He refuted the validity of the assessment tool noting its ethnocentric bias in both the cultural artefacts used in its construction and the peculiar anglicised phraseology used in its verbal and non-verbal test items. He went home determined to rectify the identified anomalies by modifying those areas he saw as skewed assessment items. He christened his indigenous revision; “A Cultural Adaptation of I.Q. Tests”.

This revolutionary impetus lasted another academic session as the young man asked so many questions on the issue and demanded veritable answers from his lecturers at the Department of Psychology, University of Lagos, Yaba, in Lagos, Nigeria. He eventually produced an Africanised version of that same “Self Assessment of I. Q” in the Reader’s Digest. One of his lecturers; Dr Delores E. Mack an American Clinical Psychologist; fell in love with him for this feat! This acted as the motivation the lad needed to forage into the theories and practices of psychological testing. He spent hours at the university library.

The developmental skill suffered a setback as examinations that were more serious faced the young researcher during his final year. He however picked up and dusted his notebook on the topic during his National Youth Service Corps year at the Department of Psychiatry, University College Hospital Ibadan, 1975 – 1976. He continued to experiment with the idea throughout his three years as a Nigerian Air Force Officer in Kano and later at Kaduna, 1976 –1979.

After earning a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology in 1982 and a Doctorate degree in Psychometrics in 1993, he intensified creative research into how to increase the production of scales, inventories and tests to arrest the dearth of indigenous assessment tools for educational, counselling and medical purposes in Africa. Today after half a century, the same research enthusiast can boast of fifteen well developed, truly validated and internationally standardised psychological tests covering areas in teenage guidance & career counselling, psychological medicine, educational psychology and family counselling/therapy.

The Igbo has no name for the Ultimate Giver of Life! All we have are appellations that describe the superlative traits of this Consummate Spirit that created, creates and will still continue to create and sustain all the beings, visible and invisible, for ages in the future;

2.                           Chi-ukwu:   the greatest spirit

3.                           Obasi bi n-elu: the omnipotent that lives on high

4.                           Ama-di-oha: the supreme husband of all

5.                           Ogara-nya ngada-nga: the wealthiest of the rich

6.                           Ugwu ana-ari-atu egwu: the highest mountain that is climbed with trepidation

7.                           Ogbajiri igwe kpoo ya nku: He that breaks steel and calls it dry wood

8.                           Utu na agba igwe: bacteria that eats up iron, i.e. potent ant that tears iron to shreds

9.                           Ogbu onye mbosi ndu n’ato ya oto: he that snuffs life off the arrogant

In our culture, one can only give names to what one owns, has authority over and can dispose of at will! It is not right to give any name to the creator; we describe what he is and does; “Chi-na-eke”, meaning; “the divine spirit that creates” or “Chi-Ukwu”; the Ultimate Spirit!  Therefore, I conclude this prelude thus: May Our Chineke prosper the work of your hands and provide divine guidance and protection for your spouses and children. I share in this last prayer and hope that all is well for those who love Chukwu, the Lord that gives us love and children may always be diligent in obeying His marriage laws! Amen!

Whereas other nations and cultures built places of worship for their religions, the Igbo know that the sky is the dome of the Creator and his illuminating lights are the sun, moon and stars. The grooves or open squares well planned and decorated are our places of worship come rain come shine! Most devotional rituals are done in moonlighting periods as it is cool and lasts the whole night. Above are edifices other major world religions built. For the Igbo, no human engineered structure is good enough to be the abode of the supreme spirit that owns the sky, the land and the sea. He is worshipped in the open!

PANTHEON IN RENASIGBOREL NEEDS MODERNISATION

The most widely worshiped deity of the Igbo was clearly the Earth goddess, ALA or ANI due to linguistic nuances. Next in rank to the Father Chineke, she is the Mother that manages the physical beings on earth for the benefit of her children. She provides fertility and the food that sustains all living things. She blesses farm work with bountiful harvest. The beautiful landscapes are the result of her proper feminine grooming!  The ponds, lakes streams and all other sources of drinking water come under her care. The dead are buried in her bosom!

Thus she became the deity that must be placated first for protection before one is clean enough to approach Chineke or else face the wrath of Amadioha, the god of thunder and lightning, the disciplinarian. She is represented by a nursing mother in sculptures and painting. Mud statues of a Breastfeeding Mother was used earlier, today, Renascent Igbo Religion RIR uses this tripartite symbol of a family to depict her;

The Greatest Gift of the Chi-na-eke

It is impossible to enumerate all the lesser deities our forebears had, many of whom are now mere names to us. Among them were the spirits of many mountains, rivers, springs, respected ancestors, and reputable warriors, past kings and queens who had “become gods” at death. Demons also existed in pre-colonial era as malevolent spirits under the command of Amadioha, the disciplinarian. Sickness and misfortune were ascribed either to these demons, to sorcery or to divine retribution.

Gods and men

The gods were imagined to have their own lives, though also needing the service of their worshipers, who in turn were dependent on the gods for their well-being. They lived in their temples, where they had to be fed, clothed, washed, and entertained. Part of their time, however, might be spent in heaven or in roaming the sea or the mountains. They might withdraw in anger and so cause life on Earth to wither and cease. One of the most characteristic rituals of the Hittites was the invocation by which a god who had absented himself was induced to return and attend to his duties by a combination of prayer and magic.

The relation between man and god resembled that between a servant and his master. “If a servant has committed an offence his master may do with him whatever he pleases; but if he repentantly confesses his guilt before everyone and his master, because he has confessed his guilt publicly. . . . . . . . . . . .  . . Both the community’s spirit is appeased and master's anger is cooled and he will not call that servant to account.” Confession and expiation form the main theme of the extant royal prayers.

THE IGBO THEORY & PRACTICE OF “NSO ANI”

A literal ‘one-for-word’ translation of the concept is ‘reverence earth’, whose real import implies “Total Reverence for the Prescriptions of the Sacred Earth Goddess and Avoidance of her Proscriptions” is the sum total of all the religiosity in Igbo land.

Although the pre-scientific metaphysics of the people of Biafra will definitely need updating, their Pristine Social Ethics will never need any existential change despite the whirlwind of foreign religions raging all around them! This is not only the opinion of this author but that of many intellectuals who affirm that the corrupting influence of both Westernisation and Catholicism will never erase the respect, adoration and loyalty NSO ANI enjoys in the hearts of liberated and self-actualised indigenes of the Igbo land! Authentic natives still live by NSO ANI in their private lives and transmit its mores and norms to their children by words and deeds!

To date, when all other religious abracadabra fail to heal an erring son or daughter of Biafra, resort is made to the pristine modes of cleansing the individual of the guilt he or she had earned by desecrating the natural laws of the Earth Goddess. No amount of religious imperialism or psychosocial politicisation of Igbo traditional religion can ever successfully replace the respect that NSO ANI enjoys in Biafra. 

WHAT IS ‘NSO ANI’ IN PRACTICAL TERMS

In one phrase, it is TOTAL OBEDIENCE TO NATURAL LAWS. This was, has been and will ever remain the authentic religion of past, present and future genuine religion of true children of CHI-NEKE, CHI-UKWU, OBASI-BI-N’ELU!

THE DESECRATION OF OUR PRE-COLONIAL HIGH MORAL VALUES STARTED WITH THE ARRIVAL OF THE FIRST WHITE MISSIONARIES IN WEST AFRICA. WHAT THE NATIVES CALLED “NSO-ANI” WAS RE-BRANDED FORGIVEABLE SINS AND SO WATERED DOWN THE SANCTITY OF RELIGIOUS VALUES IN BIAFRA. ITS PARTNER, WESTERN EDUCATION NEATLY COMPLETED THE ‘COUP DE GRACE’ AS THE FOREIGN CONCEPTS AND SOCIAL VALUES OF THE COLONIALISTS DESTROYED THE SOCIAL ETHICS OF THE NATIVES AND RENDERED OUR PRISTINE MORES AND NORMS INEFFECTIVE. IN SOME COMMUNITIES; “APING THE WHITE MAN’S DRESS CODE AND MANNERISMS BECAME FASHIONABLE AND IGNORING THE CUSTOMS AND TRADITIONS OF THE COMMUNITY WAS SEEN AS THE CRITERION OF BEING EDUCATED AND MORE CIVILISED THAN THE ILLITERATE FOLKS IN THE VILLAGES!

DR KENEZ SUMMATION OF FAITH FROM PREVIOUS RELIGIONS THAT CAN ENTHRONE REAL PEACE FOR CITIZENS OF THE GLOBAL VILLAGE

There is one supreme eternal reality; the truth; imminent in all things; creator of all things; immanent in creation. Without fear and without hatred; not subject to time; beyond birth and death; self-revealing. This Eternal Reality is known only by the Divine Revelations from His Grace.

Faith is ultimately the acceptance of the divine authority of the Omnipotent and Omniscient Almighty Creator of the universe we share with all the other beings he has made; micro/macrocosms, living and non-living beings that regularly obey the natural and eternal laws he embedded in his creations for our mutual benefits.

FELLOWSHIP OF TRUE CHILDREN OF THE CREATOR

Faith in Buddhism centres on the understanding that the Buddha is an Awakened being, on his superior role as teacher, in the truth of his Dharma (spiritual teachings), and in his Sangha (community of spiritually developed followers).

In the teachings, saddhā is often described as:

Meher Baba described three types of faith, emphasizing the importance of faith in a spiritual master:

There are three kinds of faith: (i) faith in oneself, (ii) faith in the Master and (iii) faith in life. Faith is so indispensable to life that unless it is present in some degree, life itself would be impossible. It is because of faith that cooperative and social life becomes possible. It is faith in each other that facilitates a free give and take of love, a free sharing of work and its results.

When life is burdened with unjustified fear of one another it becomes cramped and restricted....Faith in the Master becomes all-important because it nourishes and sustains faith in oneself and faith in life in the very teeth of set-backs and failures, handicaps and difficulties, limitations and failings. Life, as man knows it in himself, or in most of his fellow-men, may be narrow, twisted and perverse, but life as he sees it in the Master is unlimited, pure and untainted. In the Master, man sees his own ideal realised; the Master is what his own deeper self would rather be. He sees in the Master the reflection of the best in himself which is yet to be, but which he will surely one day attain. Faith in the Master therefore becomes the chief motive-power for realising the divinity which is latent in man."

Bertrand Russell noted, "Where there is evidence, no one speaks of 'faith'. We do not speak of faith that two and two are four or that the earth is round. We only speak of faith when we wish to substitute emotion for evidence."

THE HIGHEST ‘NZE na OZO’ TITLE IN IGBO CULTURE

Nnamdi Kanu - Beyond the propaganda

For anyone following events in Nigeria today and the Biafra question, some of the things easily heard are Nnamdi Kanu and Radio Biafra was preaching hate but not too many take time to look at the message in detail.

One of the legacies of the British which they built into the foundation of Nigeria is “lies and fraud” which they did deliberately. This technique was used by the British to totally destroy the North and then use them to destroy black people as much as they could.

Just before you challenge me, ask anyone who tells you Nnamdi Kanu was preaching hate for an example and you hear them.

Let us quickly see the British serpent and their modus operandi and before you criticize me in your mental slavery to the British, look at the North who are supposedly a British friend to understand how a “black friend of the British” looks like - poverty, sickness and disease.

The Portuguese arrived the Bight of Biafra before the British and were buying slaves as they buy oil today.Many local chiefs opposed the slave  trade but the Portuguese bought slaves on willing seller and buyer basis to a large extent until the British arrived. When the British arrived they started killing the chiefs that opposed the slave trade.

The British were brutal and their subjugation of blacks and infact Igbos or Eboes did not start today. The slave ports were like the oil terminals today -still in the Bight of Biafra.Within the Bight of Biafra just two venues - Old Calabar on the Cross River and Bonny in the Niger Delta - supplied the great majority of slaves entering British ships. The British not supporting Biafra did not start today, and the idea of making it look like a Southeast affair is purely a British engineered fraud using their lackeys. The British will never support Biafra as they are happy with their Hausa/Fulani lackeys and their gullibility in the British subjugation of blacks. It must be noted clearly that the British are all the problems Nigeria has and they use the North to achieve their goal of subjugating black people. Any black person you see violently against Biafra is doing so out of mental slavery. Anywhere you check slavery and the Bight of Biafra, you will see that it was all about the evil of the slave trade and should be preserved.

To examine Nnamdi Kanu’s message beyond the propaganda and see if he is saying the truth or not.We must first remember that mental slavery gives you the illusion of freedom, makes you trust, love and defend your oppressor while making an enemy of those who are trying to free you or open your eyes.

We all saw that during the civil rights movement in the USA, while Martin Luther was fighting for basic rights for blacks Obasanjo, Gowon and Buhari were on the side of the same oyibos slaughtering fellow blacks for oyibo to have oil-- Is this not a shame? Was it not when the Steven Biko and Nelson Mandela were fighting Apartheid in South Africa that the same Obasanjo, Buhari, Adekunle and Gowon sided with the same oppressor to slaughter fellow blacks?

Many Nigerians today hate Nnamdi Kanu simply for trying to open their eyes. The idea of preaching hate follows the British type of lies to justify any action they want to take.

From the history given above, the British has been exploiting the Bight of Biafra since they got there be it Slaves, Coal, Palmoil, Lime stone and today oil and Gas - thats the British game.

Nnamdi Kanu criticized both the British and Nigeria but Cameron knowing what type of brain black people have, needed Buhari to stop him and that was what he did. The North that is angry with Nnamdi Kanu, cannot boast of anything they have gained from the service of the British, but they are willing to die for the British to have their way.

Nigeria was never designed to work and will never work and if it has not worked in 100 years, anyone that thinks it will work should give us a date when he or she feels it will start working.

I want to enjoin you the reader to carefully follow the BBC and their reporting of the Biafra protests, the things that happen in Nigeria and how they appear to be siding the North.

I have given the history so you know they don't support the North out of love but because they see them as gullible and easier to incite than any other group.Some people had wondered why won't the British support Biafra and they can have the oil, this is impossible because with the North, all they need is give them the bone to get more wives and they kill anyone who tries to ask questions.

The British incited the Nigerian civil war simply by saying “that means only them will take the oil” and that was enough to trigger the massacre. For those who still think the British meant well, remember the same British has super interest in a landlocked Zimbabwe and it is outside oil, so why can't they develop such enterprise in the North?

A number of people have suggested true federalism, fiscal federalism, regionalism but that will never work instead the North will be incited to war by the British.

A little look at history shows they were incited to the last war by oil where the British said “it means they will take all the oil alone” and that oil has been embedded on the mind of every Northerner you see.

Only recently, Buhari came into power at a time the same British and Americans stopped buying Nigeria's oil apparently in a bid to create chaos and force Jonathan out. The prices of oil have fallen and oil may soon end up like slaves, palm oil, coal or limestone in the Bight of Biafra still you notice that's where Buhari’s priority is. He also retained the oil ministry because that's how “deep” or otherwise their brain is.Ordinarily. if Buhari was not the character described by Frederick Lugard in his book, shouldn't he be looking to be Agric minister or any other ministry he thinks would be the next?

You may sometimes hear Northerners claim they are being marginalized and other times they say why should Igbos blame us for the situation in Nigeria when their Governors are Igbo. The question remains - if indeed they do not like the situation why do they not want it changed? For a nation that since 1960 till date has been in decline and yet some people claim there is hope is shameful.

Nigeria is being controlled by the British unfortunately and their romance with the Hausa/Fulani is a master/Slave relationship that holds no promise for the Northerners as it were and for black people.The only reason the North copes with the British subjugation of blacks is because the British has identified the North as lacking in aspiration,vision, goal or any destination and they are feudal. The feudalism mentality of the North makes them see the British as God and that we are created to worship them. No matter how bad things are, the Northerners see it as how God has planned it for the blackman and there is nothing that can be done about it.

This is why the likes of Gowon, Obasanjo and Buhari are still proud today to be seen as war heros because they were used by the oyibos to slaughter fellow blacks in a war that was incited by the same oyibos.

The only reason they are not willing to talk about the war is because it is a black man's war. No war has ever been fought with starvation and without adhering to the geneva convention except the Biafran war because it was fought with a group of “incited” folks with no brains of their own.

Please research the number of military contracts and others that the British has gotten since Buhari became President. How can a government that is struggling to pay minimum wage be spending the little money it has on military training? Is it not because the blacks are considered animals like Frederick Lugard said?

In case you quarrel with calling Nigeria a zoo, Frederick Lugard that created Nigeria which you are ready to kill fellow blacks for, assessed blacks as near animals, Fela called Nigeria a zoo, Buhari classified Nigerians as Baboons and Monkeys and Nnamdi Kanu’s tagging of Nigeria as a zoo is neither new nor far from the truth.

Buhari went all the way to New York with taxpayers money to demand the rights of Palestinians as indigenous people, but turns around to arrest Nnamdi Kanu for demanding the rights of Biafrans as indigenous people, is it not because Buhari thinks the Palestinians are oyibo while blacks are of less value. Biafra is a matter of historical record and should have been preserved as such.Please note that the Biafra and Bight of Biafra was what united the people of the old Eastern region before the British created Nigeria and gave them the name “Eastern region”. In summary, before you blame Nnamdi Kanu ask yourself why is Nigeria so unwilling to talk about the war but instead threatens to kill more people?

Nnamdi Kanu’s message is an emancipation of blacks from mental slavery. The British removed competition to destroy black people and surprising they can't see. competition is the biggest driving force for any society but the British using the Hausa/Fulani removed that.Nnamdi Kanu had said the dream is to build a country that can compete with any other country in the world, but those for ONE NIGERIA have neither provided a plan nor a future look ahead for Nigeria.

You may be against Biafra but it is to the benefit of the black race and if people can start asking why Scotland of less than 6 million people can ask for a country but black people cannot ask, then they will understand. Oil is not required and is only a British and oyibo subjugation tool. Every black person must join to educate the Northerners and Buhari that the oil they struggle over can easily be shared and they join hands for the first Black nation to be liberated from British slavery. India, Pakistan and Bangladesh did it, malaysia and Singapore did it - black people must therefore rise up and undo the evil of the British. The British does not believe blacks are capable of using their brains and always will do all they can to support their Nigeria using the British lackeys.

For  those that argue diversity what good has the diversity  brought in 100 years?

For those that argue our population should be strength - what use has that population brought in 100 years and why is Scotland of 6 million people(less than Kano) wanting independence?

For those that argue Igbos have properties everywhere -why dont we become one country with Gabon, Ghana and UK because Igbos have properties there too?

For those that argue why the Governors in SE/SS states are not doing better -why do you have all the things that can make them do better in the “Exclusive list”?

For those that say, we are one people why are we not one with Gabon or Chad simply because oyibo wanted it? Why didn't Buhari advocate for Palestine and Israel to be one state?

For those that think it will lead to war, why can't black people allow themselves to be who they were before oyibo came same way, nothing to fight over. The oil can easily be shared and better still if you think we are one, after separation, let each side ask those that want to stay to stay as prove that we are indeed one.
